as "one of the few sections of the road in Alaska virtually unchanged". The unpaved road is used by local residents to access Craig Lake, and is signed as Craig Lake Trail. Other former segments have deteriorated and are no longer usable. More recent construction projects have deliberately plowed up roadway to close it.
